These were my very first AGS shears. I bought the curves and straights as a set quite a few years ago, and they were so comfortable and cut so well that I haven't even LOOKED at another brand since. I'll admit that I don't use the straights very often (straights just aren't my preference), but the curves are my go-to shears for general scissoring. Don't know what I'd do without them!

I was looking for an affordable alternative to my Kenchiis since they were getting older, but was a little skeptical that AGD would be a good substitute AND make a big difference in fatigue. However, these shears are excellent! I can't say enough good things. Not only do they go toe to toe with my Kenchiis curves, I barely feel the movement in my wrists when I'm cutting. They are an excellent and affordable solution to anyone who doesn't care about the name and has wrist trouble or lots of hand fatigue.
